The 202 is a re-working of a previous domestic seating pattern. It is imbued with a timeless appeal in the simplicity of the design and the selected woods giving enhanced durability and strength characteristics. Encapsulating the essence of the quintessential Windsor chair design in a minimal and pared down format whilst harnessing superb ergonomics to fully support the sitter.
Currently two versions are offered. 202f and 202u. The differences are subtle yet important. 202f is an exceptionally fine finished chair with great attention to the weight of line in the finished aesthetic. The 202f also uses a slightly more ergonomic back support system in which each component is shaped to actively support the lumbar region of the lower back. Whilst both chair patterns shown use the excellent resilience of ash wood for the components the 202f chair features a seat base in beech wood giving a more unified and lighter look to it"s form. The 202u utilises a clean "off the tool" finish. This gives the chair a slight hewn, distinguished look and allows the texture of the of the wood grain to become a more tactile feature of the chair.
The 202 pattern is available for small batch and limited run production. It is available to order for various seating applications, such as dining/side chair format, lounge/relax or veranda usage. The seating profile dimensions being altered depending on it"s intended use.
