Sculptural installations for Primary Schools in the Borough of Barnet, N.London in
association with Breeze Landscape architects.
The aim of the concept is to bring a sense of organic playfulness to the forms and seating
within the playground space. The work adds a sense of verticality, vitality and growth to
the space and softens the look of the hard surfacing/edging of the new school buildings.
The foundation blocks are of cast concrete with 4 point stainless steel 25 mm dia tube
mountings. These foundation blocks are set just below ground level before the addition
of the rubberised safety surfacing. The Hyde five vertical element sculptural ring is set
into a turfed banking. Images depict the ring layout at the workshop and set in position
before the final landscaping. Visit blog for more images and information on these
projects.
